Musings of an English Major

Now with Good Stuff!

4 February
I have a hard time describing myself in any useful way, but then, doesn't everyone? In real life, I'm a fairly socially anxious introvert, unless I know you well. On the web, I am painfully shy. I have a deep, abiding love for things that go against stereotypes: I am a (mostly) straight woman who enjoys porn. I have a bachelor's degree in English, but I loved calculus and am pretty good at math. Despite my degree in English, I can't write fiction for shit, but dude, can I write non-fiction. I'm also a good editor. I think of myself as a lapsed Catholic, but I believe in birth control for all and gay rights--and I’m childfree. I enjoy being childish and dorky in my rather uptight workplace. I love that I come home to a home-made meal after a long day at the office, courtesy of my husband, who is a marvelous cook.

I’ve never lived more than 300 miles away from where I was born. It makes me kinda naive.

I also have a deep, abiding love for proper use of the semicolon.
